Newcastle Emlyn (approx. 5 miles)

The busy local market town of Newcastle Emlyn has many attractions including antiques and craft shops, clothes shops, Newcastle Emlyn Castle, bakeries, butchers, pubs and restaurants.

Cenarth (approx. 7 miles)

The village of Cenarth is located at the Carmarthenshire / Ceredigion / Pembrokeshire border, on the banks of the river Teifi. The River Teifi at this point emerges from a deep ravine over a ledge that produces a spectacular set of falls when the river is in full flow. There are pubs, tea rooms, craft shops and the national coracle center, all worth a visit.

Cardiganshire Coast

BeachApproximately 14 miles north of Morlogws Farm you reach the Cardiganshire Coast. There are many great beaches, starting with Poppit Sands near St Dogmaels. Cardigan itself is a thriving market town with many small and interesting locally run shops.

A little further up the coast is Aberporth, a small village with a picturesqe harbour and beach, and then you reach New Quay, a village with a beautiful beach from where you can take boat trips where you are likely to see dolphins. National Wool Museum at Dre-Fach Felindre (approx. 6 1/2 miles)

National Wool MuseumThe picturesque village of Dre-fach Felindre in the beautiful Teifi valley was once the centre of a thriving woollen industry, earning the nickname 'The Huddersfield of Wales'. Located in the historic former Cambrian Mills, the National Wool Museum is a special place with a spellbinding story to tell. The museum is open all year.

 

Tourism Railways

The Teifi Valley Railway at Henllan, near Newcastle Emlyn, is a narrow gauge railway, and the 'most laid back railway in West Wales'. Driving a little further towards Carmarthen is the Gwili Steam Railway, the only standard gauge steam railway in West Wales.

Caws Cenarth Organic Cheese

Caws Cenarth Organic CheeseAt Caws Cenarth you can watch the cheese being made from the viewing gallery and museum and taste the cheeses on offer free of charge. Thelma and Gwynfor's initiative is acknowledged to have instigated and led the revival of Welsh Farmhouse Caerffili and Caws Cenarth is now the oldest established producer of Welsh Farmhouse Caerffili.

 

The National Botanical Garden of Wales

The National Botanical Garden of WalesAt the National Botanical Garden of Wales you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature up close at one of Britain's foremost nature attractions.
